This trailer is for an upcoming documentary exploring the history of code, the systems it enables, and the risks that surface as software becomes increasingly foundational to the world. The story also looks ahead at where things may be heading, particularly with the rapid rise of AI.
Many New Relic and HashiCorp products are command-line driven, but this Kubernetes monitoring feature includes a UI we wanted to highlight. We represented the interface in a stylized 3D space while keeping the interactions largely grounded in the real product, balancing clarity with visual impact.
This example includes more traditional product animation throughout (see 0:12 and again around 1:12). This is typically how we represent product capabilities on our website—abstracted enough to simplify complex ideas while still closely reflecting the real interface.
Another example of product/UI animation. This piece opens with a stylized browser environment and glitch effects to help land the concept, before transitioning to the product interface itself.
This is one of the opportunistic customer interviews I mentioned on our call. These were filmed on-site during conferences without traditional b-roll, so we developed a motion system and graphic language to give the videos a more evergreen feel beyond a typical event testimonial.
A more traditional customer story centered on the interview itself. With limited time on-site, the focus was on capturing a strong conversation and shaping it into a concise narrative about how the customer uses the product.
This piece blends a narrative arc with interview segments from engineers discussing a major evolution of the core product. The goal was to give viewers a sense of the technical work involved while also highlighting the team behind it.
